What is e-commerce & retail fulfilment?

Fulfilment is everything that happens between an order and the moment it reaches your customer: storing your stock, picking the right products from the shelf, packing, shipping and processing returns. For a webshop, that means individual parcels to consumers (B2C). For shops and retailers, it means cartons with a delivery note or full pallets (B2B).

Many brands sell both: online and on the shelves. Then you don't want two stocks and two partners, but one stock that all your channels ship from. You can read about the difference between the two in B2B and B2C fulfilment.

Sendwit handles your entire flow of goods, for all your channels at once. Your delivery is counted and booked in, orders come in automatically from your webshop, marketplaces or via EDI from your retailer, and we make sure every order ships exactly the way your customer asks.

    Receiving and storage

    Your supplier delivers your stock to us. We count and check everything and book it in within 1 working day. If the quantities don't match, you get a notification with photos the same day.

    Every item gets a fixed location, on a shelf, in a bin or on a pallet. Your webshop and retail share that stock, visible live in your portal.

    Parcels to consumers

    Orders from your webshop or marketplaces come in automatically. We pick, pack securely and ship via bpost, PostNL, DHL, DPD, GLS, FedEx and Colis Privé. Orders placed before 18:00 ship the same working day.

    Your customer gets a tracking number from a carrier they know. You get a daily shipping overview.

    Retail-ready pallets to retailers

    Retailer orders come in via EDI, through our EDI partner, so you don't need an EDI system of your own. We build the pallets to your retailer's requirements, with a GS1 label and a unique pallet number (SSCC).

    Before delivery, we send the despatch advice (DESADV) and book the time slot. Everything about labels and messages is explained in supplying supermarkets and retailers.

    Cartons to shops, and returns

    Independent shops receive their order in cartons or on a pallet, with a delivery note.

    Every return is checked, registered and reported to you within 3 working days. Anything in good condition goes back into stock. More tips in processing returns.

Integrations, EDI and carriers

We connect your webshop, marketplaces and ERP, so orders come in automatically and your stock adds up everywhere. With retailers, we exchange messages via EDI, using the GS1 standard that Belgian retailers work with.

Parcels go with bpost, PostNL, DHL, DPD, GLS, FedEx and Colis Privé, pallets with a regular pallet carrier. We choose together what fits, and after that nothing changes without your approval.
